Comments: Yahoo owned by Verizon?
IMO, this seems wrong somehow as far as privacy and access plus redirects on Search.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Its Verizon. Of course your privacy is forfeit. These are the people who implemented supercookies for millions of people without consent and only backed down when the government threatened to fine them through the rear end.
Doubt they can do anything to Mozilla or Firefox. Mozilla has an escape clause it can invoke at any time and still get paid millions.

Re: Comments: Yahoo owned by Verizon?
Yahoo was one of the first search engines along with Lycos which I used over 20 years ago and it's a little sad to see Verizon take it over.
I'm comparing this to their acquisition of AskJeeves and the intrusive manner in which they operated that and others.
This appears to be another way to limit and funnel content, more boundaries.
I've removed everything, even basic packages for Yahoo from three systems.
