Firefox 50.0.2, Win 10 Pro

The last 3-4 weeks, anything downloaded to my desktop From Firefox, does not display on my desktop until I refresh the desktop.

Before I refresh the desktop, if I go to my desktop folder, the item I downloaded it there, but going back to my desktop, not until I refresh the desktop.

The strange thing is that If I try the same thing from Internet Explorer, no problem.

This is not a Firefox problem. As far as FF is concerned, the "Desktop" is just another folder on your hard drive, and it will download files there just like any other folder. It's the Windows operating
system that is supposed to be monitoring that folder and updating the display if anything changes there. It's hardly any surprise that Internet Explorer and Firefox behave differently. Ie is pretty
much part of the Windows operating system, unlike FF, which is a platform-independent browser.
