http://www.ghacks.net/2017/01/16/ghacks ... me-55-off/ claims MailBird is based on Thunderbird. The web site doesn't say, though it makes a point of claiming its the best alternative to Thunderbird. I can see a lot of similarities between the two but it doesn't even have a prefs.js file, which even Postbox kept when they changed the user interface.
Can anybody confirm that it is based on Thunderbird?

Re: Is Mailbird based on Thunderbird?
I added a comment asking how he determined that it was based on Thunderbird since it doesn't appear to use the Mozilla toolkit and the web site doesn't document that some code was covered by a Mozilla license. He said he made a mistake.
