Grumps,
I nearly had a "house boat", but it would not have fitted through the hole in the bridge. .
Thankfully, The Council & Park Rules stipulate that all caravans & annexes are chained down.
Also, any gas cylinders/BBQ's & any storage containers/sheds etc., are also chained down.
We had a few people canoeing & boating around the park, checking on others.
Hopefully, I/we will not have to go through that again.
The clean-up took weeks/months.
Lots have sold up.

I figured you could use the houseboat in the park instead of the caravan.
Maybe you could find one with powered wheels, caravan with a hull?
They make a dandy ship to shore triangular connector for phones systems.
See they exist
. . . and Unfolding floats Caravan
Frankly I was looking for something I saw a few years ago which was a little more rational which could drive, self propelled, out of the water at a boat ramp or beach with all the conveniences and wouldn't need the national debt to pay for.
I considered putting davits off the low roof and a decent sized life boat as a "just in case."

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Hi guys,
Hopefully, this will be the "last" update...
The NBN Co. tech duly arrived yesterday morning & conducted all his tests & checks.
He found one bad connection at the Manager's Office pillar. (I wonder why all the other NBN Co. techs did not.)
Everything else was fine.
(I did not mention anything about the down grading of my plan & that it seemed to have fixed all the drop outs.)
He left after just 1 Hour.
So....Thanks for all the suggestions & comments.
Stay safe.

just an update, on the NBN website it now says in my Town, we'll get FTTC not FTTN as it was stated earlier http://www.nbnco.com.au/blog/the-nbn-pr ... ology.html

That sounds like you "may get" a better connection than FTTN.
I really like this bit though...
(I added the bolding.)
I hope you have a pit fairly close to you..Maybe check the location/s out?
I really like this bit though...
Really!?When nbn launches FTTC services, currently planned to happen in 2018,
we will be one of the first operators in the world to launch reverse-powered distribution
point-based FTTC services – again showing that nbn is at the cutting edge of broadband
technologies, we are truly establishing ourselves as a technology leader.
