You can no longer check your plugin status using Check Plugins from SeaMonkey Addons Manager. The page has not been reliable for some time and now it is gone. You get an ad for Fx instead.

It was such a convenient way to check. For those of us using Firefox ESR versions and/or SeaMonkey it seems premature. Plus, for the average user it may be confusing as to how to keep up to date without that page.

Moving to MozillaZine Tech as this is not solely a SeaMonkey matter.

To be fair, the only plugin that had Mozilla support on Check Plugins was Flash and since Flash is on its way out, there are no other major plugins left hence there's no need for the Check Plugins page anymore. While Adobe is still updating Flash, even they will eventually end-of-life Flash*. If you're running plugins (Flash, Shockwave, Java, Silverlight, etc.), you're pretty much running near or already end-of-life software at your own risk since most plugins have HTML 5 equivalents now. If there isn't an equivalent to a certain plugin, one will come in time.

* Adobe will keep their rebranded Flash animation software, but pretty much you will only be able to output to video formats like mp4 instead of swf since in the future browsers and websites may block the ability to upload swf files.
