Hi y'awll,
This may be old news to some but I just stumbled across it.
MPC is being "retired" apparently, due to "loss of staff."
The latest/last version is v1.7.13.
ref; > https://mpc-hc.org/2017/07/16/1.7.13-re ... -farewell/
T'is a pity to see it go.
I hope someone takes it on, as it's a great program.
&...WIN XP is not being supported any more.
Regards, L..

Re: The demise of Media Player Classic...
Thanks for the info, MG.
I couldn't find any update info on the Home Page or via the player.
At least MPC still lives.
As for the required codecs...Just install & update the K-Lite-Full version.

My favorite media player was and always will be Winamp. The video quality with ffdshow codecs was second to none with dozens of tweaks. Both are now defunct with no further development in sight. Although I still use it VLC player is my second choice, it's another excellent player.
