Problem: After a channel update scan one of the digital converter boxes stops dead in it's tracks during the channel edit process. The Channels 23.1 and 23.2 show up during the scan but 23.1 grabs control of the converter box and only after hitting the channel change button rapidly and repeatedly a number of times, during this the converter may turn off for a moment and maybe if lucky will continue through to another channel where edit choice can be resumed.
Particulars: This converter box is approximately 12 feet higher than another converter box. This particular Channel 23 is located way south, possibly Richmond or somewhere in the Carolina's and for some reason when an update is performed, even though the channel is edited out returns to the list and has to be edited out again and the same capture condition arise. The lock out or grab only occurs on the higher elevation converter box but both succumb to the forced return though edited out.

The broadcast area for both these channels is no where near my location, a few miles directly north of Annapolis Maryland and can only reach here through some form of relay boost.

Any thoughts or musing would be appreciated even Mighty's delusional indictments.

Already looked at EFI interference from cables too close to the overhead electric service so that lets the cable guy off the hook.
It's a peculiar issue as some channels come in on the elevated digital converter but not on the lower box but lower box does not get captured on Ch. 23.
Doubt it's the GRU, I'm thinking some corporate evangelical grifter looking for some more rubes not rubles to fill his coffers.

So, living in the windstorm in the Mid-Atlantic does have it's benefits.
Wind was strong enough to put a dog leg in the antenna mast.
Now the channels which had gone By By have come home to view.
We tried different radial directions with only loss, no gain or improvement.
Apparently this may have something to do with actual level of the antenna relative to the horizon.
Think airplane. Interesting.
