How do you export passwords from FF?

How do you export passwords from FF?

Somehow, my Chrome install lost all of them, I cant find a way to get Google sync to feed them in, and when I try to do an import from FF, passwords don't get transferred.

In Firefox you can export bookmarks to an HTML format file using menu path Bookmarks->Show All Bookmarks->Import and Backup->Export to HTML. The issue will then be whether Chrome will load the HTML file.

Moving to MozillaZine Tech. Although Firefox is involved in the question, this is Chrome issue.
