@mightyglydd - I figured hardware classes should be good enough for now until I figure a couple of things out. No inferences.

In case anyone was curious - HP with Micro-edge display, Verbatim external disc drive.
Everything works, was online this morning performing updates, saved some time copying from saved files on desktop transferred to laptop.
Moves faster than the old Notebook, no gripes yet except getting past the MS EULA, where's the decline button they mention?????

@mightyglydd - not Best Buy, Office Depot right up the street.
No other Best Buys nearby and I didn't want to go 20 miles to Micro Center where I bought the parts for the desktop.
Nearest Best Buy didn't have this one and the folks at Office Depot seemed more informative and helpful.
They don't appear to have names for these anymore just some stock or model number on the receipt.
hp 14-******** @599,99 w/ $130 discount but they wouldn't give me any discount since I was removing Windows.

Aha, nice, but that seems awfully mean spirited !Grumpus wrote: hp 14-******** @599,99 w/ $130 discount but they wouldn't give me any discount since I was removing Windows.
I'm leaning towards this, must have a DVD-RW drive and the Graphics are a tad better than the normal 'come with' integrated.
Have to see one in the flesh...

@mightyglydd - watch out for the Acers. Local store had an issue with one having a Nvidia card.
Bricked the system no access, unrecoverable.
@FrankLion - pain in the neck on the leads, trying to route them to another side.
