A "small" security problem in Apple's BIG SUR?

Post by LIMPET235 »

Hi y'awll,

Not sure where to put this, but this forum will suffice.

Here's a bit of news re; BIG SUR...courtesy of > https://www.askwoody.com/2020/apple-big ... g-problem/

For ref; > https://thenextweb.com/plugged/2020/11/ ... sis-macos/

So, where is APPLE's so called Privacy & Security policy heading?
<snip> Well, aside from control over your own system, Apple apps on Big Sur being able to bypass firewalls and VPNs is a huge privacy and security issue.
</snip>
I'll stick with Windows....fer now..

https://9to5mac.com/2021/01/13/macos-bi ... firewalls/ claims that Apple has removed this list of exceptions in macOS Big Sur 11.2 beta 2. i.e. Apple’s apps can no longer bypass third-party firewalls and users can once again monitor their traffic on the web.
