jpegs don't show images

All my jpegs appear as a blue square with two overlaping blue triangles at the bottom and a white dot at the top. What did I do wrong.

Are these files you were able to view previously or new material? What app are you using to view jpegs? How ere they created?

They are not new files.Yes I was able to view them previously. Microsoft photos viewer.Some are photos that I moved to the PC from my phone. Some were photos that were on a disk from the the processing lab. And others are images I found randomly on the internet.
