security with wireless

Post by moz9591 »

when you use something like Hotspot shield your data is supposedly encrypted. Does this mean that every character you type is immediately changed IN your computer and if it were intercepted in mid air 20 feet away it would be viewed as a strange character?? Is every character that is sent to you the same way.
what about sound and picture files??

An encrypted connection means anyone who taps into it without the proper credentials can see nothing but the raw encrypted data, which looks like a nonsensical array of characters, trying to decrypt that info by brute force can take a life time, so it's not worth a hacker's time.
