Frefox 57 Quantum upgrade - saved passwords gone missing

The upgrade to F57 Quantum has removed all my saved passwords.

Has anyone any idea if I can recover them and if so from where please?

Do you have a backup of your Profile?
Did FF by chance create a new Profile, so you're using a different one then you're expecting?

Look around & see if you might not have a backup on your desktop or elsewhere?

Thanks - but where is the Profile folder normally? i.e file path to find it.

Previous version might be hidden in a regular back up somewhere.

i think he has used an extension which is no longer functional in firefox 57 because legacy type (no webextension).
if this would be a firefox bug many more would have spoke up but nothing.

Thanks for comments. I am not a techie, so my Firefox updates are installed automatically, so I didn't do anything to "disappear" the previous logins, as they just vanished one day....

I am just saving passwords now as I need them - won't try recovering files that I don't know exist or where. I don't save e.g. banking passwords anyway so no major problem - just having to re-create new passwords for sites I have forgotten etc.

Case closed.
