Add stop button (Linux)

Post by fixit7 »

I am using FF ESR version 52. It does not have a stop button.

Is there a way to add one?

Thanks

A "stop loading right now" button? In the address bar area, where you see the reload button, while a page is loading, it should morph into a stop button. No?

Normally you can also press the ESC key to stop loading a page.
Firefox 52 ESR still has the combined Stop/Reload/Go button at the right end of the location bar.
Current Firefox versions have a separate Stop/Reload toolbar button.

Not for my version.

Perhaps you have a customized build.

You don't need a stop button for any version of Firefox.

stop and reload were combined - if loading, then stop is available, otherwise reload. you need to reset under "customize" to have fortune.

fixit7 uses Firefox 52 and in that version this combined Stop/Reload/Go button is still located fixed in the location bar container and can't be removed unless you would use Classic Theme Restorer.
