When I try to access gmail all I get is the login page that asks for my email or phone number. When I enter my email and click the next button it doesn't do anything, just sits there. I am running windows XP
Thanks

Try clearing the cache and delete any cookies relating to the site.

Re: Can't Open Gmail (WinXP)
It is possible that this webpage is no longer compatible with Windows XP or with Firefox 52 (last version for XP).

Re: Can't Open Gmail (WinXP)
Thank you for your replies.
I've cleared my cache and deleted my cookies, no luck.
I've searched to see if the Gmail inbox is no longer compatible with XP but haven't found any info yet. Hopefully someone on the forum knows the answer as there's no way to reach out to Mozilla.

Does the login page work if you trigger it from search or YouTube, or is broken in all 3 cases?

Haven't tried YouTube but won't load through search.
Do you know if they've stop supporting XP?

I have no idea, but if they have, it's weird that there's no message about it.DougD wrote:Haven't tried YouTube but won't load through search.

Re: Can't Open Gmail (WinXP)
No issue here, 52.9.0 ESR, https://mail.google.com/mail, on both XP x86 & Win7 x64.
Try FF http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode.
If that doesn't work, verify that it works in a new, clean Profile.
---
(Oddly... on my XP system, in the FF instalDir, the file, vcruntime140.dll got renamed - somehow ?, to:
"=====================================================================================".
Yes a string of 85 ='s.
The file itself is intact (unchanged, hashes agree), date & time (Created & Modified, which mean nothing) are correct.
The Archive attribute is set.
[After a program install I typically unset archive attributes to kind of clue me in if something were to happen...]
XP acts as a server, generally untouched, runs 24x7.
Wonder how that happened...?)

Fire 750, bring back 250.

TLS ? XP only supports TLS 1.0 by default but TLS 1.2 is now the default standard.
How to enable TLS 1.1 and 1.2 support in XP:
