I posted on this several hours ago, lost I guess. Why is my Firefox 104+ saving in two places? I want to save downloads in the directory of my choice. In the past 103 releases of Firefox checking
x Always ask you where to save files
always countermanded "Save files to"
Now it saves BOTH places.
I hate this. Please help.

Re: Saving downloads
I can't reproduce the bug. I downloaded a zip file from GitHub with the following settings. Firefox saved the zip file in only one location.
Save files to [C:]
[check] Always ask you where to save files
Firefox 109.0
Windows 10 Pro 21H2 32-bit
Does the same thing happen if you launch the program in Mozilla Troubleshooting mode?

Re: Saving downloads
Where is "both places"?
One is where you want it to go.
The other is where?
Not sure where FF is these days, or was in the past, but possible a file was first downloaded to a place like %TMP%, then after the file completed it's download, it would have been moved (or not) to your wanted location.

Fire 750, bring back 250.
