mozilla shortcuts

hi everyone.
i have two questions.
1. how can i take backup of shortcuts in mozilla firefox?
2. how can i increase no. of rows more than 4 (currently there are only 4 rows to add shortcuts)

for 1, with backup shortcuts, do you mean backing up bookmark?

For 2, you can modify the browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.*rows prefs directly on the about:config page.
