older plug-ins?

Post by maxdamage »

I am looking for an older plugin of adblock plus for Firefox v28.I have contacted the devs but they haven't replied on whether they still have a copy of their plugin that will work on v28 of Firefox or maybe they are still looking for a copy.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Firefox 28 was released in March 2014.

Adblock Plus 2.6 released in April 2014.

Try the adblock_plus-2.5.1-sm+tb+an+fx.xpi file. (minVersion 17.0 and maxVersion 30.0)

Is there a plugin for Firefox v28 that can block domain names by adding partial urls like:
*ad.doubleclick.net to a file?

Been looking for one but can't.

Thanks.

I thought Adblock Plus treats each filter as if it has a wildcard at its beginning and end.

i.e. no difference between filters ad and *ad*

How to write filters - Matching at the beginning or end of an address

Still has ads download and when I extract the cache for a site to rebuild included are the ads and folders.
Here is the code for my custom filters in adblock pro in Firefox v28:

Code: Select all

||*a.as-us.falkag.net^
||a.as-us.falkag.net^
||*ad.doubleclick.net^
||ad.doubleclick.net^
I need to block any and all urls that have those urls in the link ie.:
https://web.archive.org/web/20040901020 ... eclick.net
or
https://web.archive.org/web/20071006020 ... eclick.net

I don't know if that's possible or not. I would ask for help in the content blocker forums.
