Is "Total Cookie Protection" a factor? You can reduce your cookie blocking level. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/to ... protection

Re: Wordpress blog quit working on Firefox
O.K., folks, I lost the battle but won the war.
I spent the time to use regedit to remove Mozilla, Firefox, and SeaMonkey. Did not matter. Firefox came back just the way it had left, except now I had to re-do bookmarks and extensions which was quick. But Firefox still would not work for my blog.
What works is I use Chrome for the blog but keep Firefox open to use the "Manage Passwords" utility which is what is so important to my work. It makes getting a link very fast.
I see that Chrome has about 3 billion users while Firefox has 300 thousand. All I can say is the Chrome users must be easily satisfied. I think it is just too bare bones: no Task Bar, a poor Bookmarks manager, none of what a well tricked out Firefox installation includes.
