My last shot. Try creating a new temporary profile. Then with FF not running copy the places.sqlite file from the old profile to the new temporary one and see what happens. [-o<

With FF not running remove the places.sqlite file from the new profile. Restart FF, you will have no bookmarks. Go to a site you previously had bookmarked and bookmark it. Does the favicon appear in the bookmark?

OK. With FF not running toss this file

/Users/<user_acct>/Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist

and this directory

/Users/<user_acct>/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/<random>.default

See what happens.

Toss = put in trash

Sorry for my assumption about your English. It's much better than my Turkish; which, is zero.

Use the Disk Utility.app and under the First Aid tab run Repair Disk Permissions.

Great. But it should have worked without that. I guess it will just be a mystery; although, I somehow suspect xmarks.

Have a good evening.
