They're all wrong. We'll , wrong if you're using Final Cut...
IN FCP, if you're using a mac book with no "Home" button, your short cut is "Shift \" So that's hitting the shift button and then hitting the forward slash button, this thing: \
i googled this myself because i was looking for the answer aswell. Found it by going to the "Button Bar" under the window drop down from top options in FCP. True Story!

Just one little thing: the forward slash is this: "/", and the backslash is this: "\".

If you are trying to work with Excel on a new Mac, hitting the control & left arrow keys has the same function as the HOME key in Windows, ie it will return your pointer to the beginning of the row you are in.
