Dont' Ask on 3.5 Clearing History - CTRL + SHIFT + DEL

Is there anyway to make the clearing history dialog not pop up every time I press ctrl+shift+del in 3.5?
I clear my history all the time as a developer and the constant dialog is a major distraction. It's sad when you lose features with a new version release. Thank you!

It was removed because its behavior was confusing in regard to the 'clear history when firefox closes' feature. AFAIK there is no way to change it. Though someone might be able to write an extension at some point.

I second that, with FF 3.0.11 it's just simple 1 click, but now ((FF 3.5) it's two clicks!

It isn't that it is multiple clicks anymore, it's that it takes the quick-and-easy ctrl+alt+del and breaks the flow of browsing by requiring a popup to be answered. I tend to clear my history quite often, and the constant popup is becoming increasingly aggravating.
I find it odd that it would be made a permanent feature without any option of changing it, though... I haven't seen anything in about:config, though.

Er, obviously, not ctrl+alt+del... that is /definitely/ a flow-breaker. Rather, I meant to say ctrl+shift+del.
And it isn't something nice and easy where a simply slap on the spacebar will confirm it, either. If a person wanted to keep their hands on their keyboard, they have to tab numerous times just to get to the clear history option.

YES! Please, bring back the option to remember what you want to clear. Thank you.
Other than that, with a few minor tweaks, I am, overall, very happy with 3.5

The dialog should remember your selections, it just won't clear the data automatically.

Enter will close the dialog box.

You can still see what will be cleared. In the Tools menu, if you choose "Clear Recent History", you get a box with a button at the bottom that says "Details". If you click that button you will see a list of settings for what can be cleared. The same thing is in Options > Privacy, but the button says "Settings".

Well, I mean "remember" as in skip the "pop up confirmation".
It's based on the equations: "pop ups = bad. No pop ups = good."

I think it was removed because the developers got confused. They added this annoying pop-up breaking the flow of browsing whereas removed the optional confirmation while exiting firefox. There are people who are griping about this second loss of functionality as well. Check this: http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=de&comments_parentId=383095&forumId=1 and this http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1327625 for the gripes. For this annoying lapse of reason -- no option to bypass confirmation for deleting history on-request -- I still could not find the appropriate keyword to tweak scouring the internet probably because developers found that confusing too. I hope another not-so-confused mind would put an end to this misery of the "confused" users by creating an extension, or better yet the developers would restore normalcy with version 3.5.0.1.

You know, there are also technical reasons why automatically bypassing the dialog is a problem. Tools -> Clear Recent History is the only dialog where those settings can be changed.
Previously, IIRC, Tools -> CPD and clear on shutdown in the privacy options both shared the same settings. So if the dialog were suppressed, there was still an easily accessible avenue to change the settings. It would be impractical and confusing to include settings for both Clear Recent History and clear on exit in the privacy tab, so the only viable avenue to adjust the settings is via the dialog. If the dialog were suppressed, then a user would have to muck about in about:config in order to change the settings or show the dialog again. Bluefang >> The issue is not so much about changing the options, it's eliminating the silly pop-up that the user must confirm each time he/she wants to clear history in the middle of a browsing session! I don't know why that would cause technical conflicts or why offering the "about:config" tweak to the slightly savvier users would be considered confusing; but I can surely see why it's frustrating. I wish the developers will see that too. I say that with all respect to the good people working behind the scene.

How many of you folks that are flying through ctrl+shft+del to clear your 'stuff' have even noticed that the dialog box now has options to clear your history in increments, as well as total. I've yet to see anyone complain that they have to also use the drop-box to use 'clear everything', they are only complaining about the dialog box.
I'm willing to bet many, if no most are only clearing one-hour of their 'stuff', not even realizing they are NOT really clearing 'all' their 'stuff'.

Why not just go to Tools>Options>Privacy and check the box next to Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session?
