I used the firefox profile manager to point firefox to where I have now located the firefox profile. Some extension continue to work while others don't.

The profiles that don't for me are FireGestures, NoSquint, and Paste and Go 3.

Is there something I need to do to ensure that everything gets moved correctly?

I often reinstall or dual boot, and always have FF point to e:\somefolder\firefoxprofile. So this has occurred to me in the past too, and I would like to find a solution.

Open up your profile folder and delete the following files:

compreg.dat
extensions.cache
extensions.ini
extensions.rdf
pluginreg.dat
There have always been ghosts in the machine... random segments of code that have grouped together to form unexpected protocols. Unanticipated, these free radicals engender questions of free will, creativity, and even the nature of what we might call the soul...

Thanks. I'll test that when I get home tonight.

So those files get re-created with the correct path?

Why don't you do it in the proper way and create a new profile in the correct location and reinstall the extensions?
It is not recommended to move a profile that way to another location.
