Hola,

When I try to search in Google, it only gives me the you-have-spyware message below:

Code: Select all
We're sorry...
... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

This happens every day, for a period of 1-2 hours.
When I try other browsers, the same thing happens, BUT at least I'm given a CAPTCHA - when I try to search in FFox, no CAPTCHA is displayed.
I'm running Win7 with comodo firewall, checked my pc with several tools but no spyware (or sign that there is one) was found.
There is no such problem with the other PC on the network.
Anybody having any ideas what could be wrong...?
(I'm not sure that this is a FF problem, but it's strange that only FF doesn't display the captcha)

Can be caused by a corrupted cookie or cache or an extension like Fasterfox that tries to prefetch links.

Clear the cache: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
Clear the cookies: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" (only from sites that give you problems)

You can start Firefox in Safe mode to check if your problem is caused by an extension or theme (switch to the DEFAULT theme).

Thanks, resetting the offline storage helped (now at least the captcha is displayed)

Just had the same issue. Clearing the Cache and Cookies fixed it.

Thanks for the thread!
