Cursor freezes frequently when using Firefox

I've just started having the problem, and most frequently it occurs when on firefox. Could it be Firefox itself, or does it sound more like a computer problem? Anyone know what I can do?

I had a similar problem,
once,
but my mouse config in XP has always been a little messed up.

Not a firefox problem.

the only thing a mouse and a browser have in common is the computer they are on
