Please Note
Firefox 3.6.6 is a maintenance release to solve problems with Flash crashes. If you are having a number of flash crashes this should solve the issue. The fix increases the amount of time the before Firefox decides the plug-in has crashed.

If you are curious why this release isn't number 3.6.5 see where's 3.6.5? ...

Since this is a maintenance release the following 3.6.4 suggestions are still valid.

3.6.4 issues

If you would like something added please make your suggestion here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1929971

Flash and Plug-in Issues
Flash sites no longer working after installing FF 3.6.4

Firefox now uses a separate process for handling plug-ins called plugin-container.exe. Make certain this process is allowed through your firewall. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firewalls

A video or plug-in game becomes unresponsive that ends up hanging Firefox in 3.6.4:
Windows - Open the Task Manager and kill plugin-container.exe to unhang Firefox.
Ubuntu w/Gnome desktop- Go to the System Monitor's Processes tab.

{Need directions for other OSs]

This will stop all videos and plug-in games you have open. No crash reports will be generated when you manually kill plugin-container.exe.

Connection issues

If connection is refused, check proxy settings.
Firefox3.6.4 changed default proxy settings. Try a different setting. The old default was "No Proxy."
Windows Tools --> Options --> Advanced --> Network --> Settings button.
Mac Firefox -> Preferences -->Advanced --> Network --> Settings button.
Linux Edit -> Preferences --> Advanced --> Network --> Settings button.

Other
It has been reported that FireTorrent causes crashing Firefox3.6.4. Uninstall FireTorrent and see if this solves the problem.

General Flash issues

Flash Hardware acceleration seems to be causing a number of problems. Turning it off seems to fix a number of issues. It might be worth trying this as a trouble-shooting step.

1) Start a flash movie
2) Right click on the video
3) Click on the tab that shows the monitor with the eye in it.
4) Uncheck Hardware acceleration

There might be an easier to do this. I don't use flash much.

This fixes the "Green Screen" issue, sync problem with audio/video and, in at least one case, Firefox response problem.
If you find anything else this helps with please post it here. Other Flash Issues Fixes
