I am an avid Firefox user and supporter and abandoned all browsers for it many moons ago. But now I'm having a problem accessing me.com.
https://www.me.com/ gives a blank page and the error console shows:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Security error" code: "1000" nsresult: "0x805303e8 (NS_ERROR_DOM_SECURITY_ERR)" location: "https://www.me.com/ Line: 6"]
https://www.me.com/mail/ gives me a s spinner and the text "Loading Mail..." and the error console shows:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Security error" code: "1000" nsresult: "0x805303e8 (NS_ERROR_DOM_SECURITY_ERR)" location: "https://www.me.com/mail/ Line: 135"]
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Security error" code: "1000" nsresult: "0x805303e8 (NS_ERROR_DOM_SECURITY_ERR)" location: "https://www.me.com/mail/ Line: 151"]
This has only recently started happening. I have run Firefox in safe mode with al plugins and extension dissabled but I still get the same problems.
Any ideas what might be causing this strange behaviour?
Cheers

Same problem! Spoke to a mobileme online support thing and they suggested clearing the cache, reinstalling Firefox and rebooting mac. Still the same. Safari works fine, so not the network or the machine. I suspect that there is a problem with the latest Firefox, but I've no idea how to raise this with them? I'll be waiting alongside you for some brainbox to point out how to solve this (I've switched everything off and uninstalled all add-ons in an attempt to see whether it was a plug-in compatibility problem as well - no joy either).

Ok I have fixed my problem but, I don't know what was directly causing it. I use Eazy Backup so knowing I had a full backup I uninstalled Firefox ensuring all personal data etc was removed. I then installed Firefox again and restored my earlier backup but NOT the settings. Mobileme now works and I just had to reconfigure Firefox settings again from scratch. So it appears it was something in the settings that had got screwed at least for me.

OK - thanks. Sounds like whatever causes it is a doozy! I've tried to report it to Mozilla directly (maybe it worked), but I have not found any other reference to the problem apart from you! I'll give it a go, although I don't use a backup source. Was that just for data?

Eazy Backup copies everything when backing up Firefox and other apps. including registry entries where appropriate. So I ended up restoring my addons and plugins etc as well as bookmarks and cookies.

Registry settings are not really a issue like many may think as Firefox is a cross OS browser. The settings (which includes your Extensions, Themes, Bookmarks, Cookies etc) are in a separate place as it seems like you mainly just started with a new Profile the hard way.

Eazy Backup restores a lot more than you might imagine including extensions, themes, bookmarks and cookies. It left me very little to do to have a fully restored system up and running. That's one of the great sides of Eazy Backup.

You however stated "I uninstalled Firefox ensuring all personal data etc was removed. I then installed Firefox again and restored my earlier backup but NOT the settings." which basically could be seen as making a new separate Profile which only takes a few seconds to do with ProfileManager.

With that site, I get a blank page with Firefox on both Windows and Mac OS. With Opera on Windows, I got a message, "Your browser is not supported." With Safari on Mac OS, I got, "Safari can't open the page."
That DOM security error might be because the source code has that address as http://www.me.com, and not https://.

I have now investigated further and Firefox works fine with me.com on both imacs and the mac mini, so it looks like it is something corrupting/ed on the mac air. Any ideas Mr Moderator?

I have a Mac Air and do not have a problem logging on to MobileMe. Have you tried copying your profile from the other Mac to the Mac Air?
