The source code of a .htm file. After opening it with Firefox 3.6.10, it makes CPU reach 100%. Maybe, Firefox should stop some Javascript automatically in future.

Okay, I'll ask it.
What is that?

Yes, but what is the URL of the site where you found that code? And what is the code intended to do? Please answer the questions that have already been asked.

So you are using the Save as Web Page feature of Firefox?
Or just doing a View Page Source and copying that code?
Anyway, that page link seems to be in Japanese.

In the menu, [File]-->[Save Page As], or press "Ctrl+S" shortcut key. After saving, you can see the Web page. Then, you can use Windows Notepad to see its code. It is not using the [View]-->[Page Source] of Firefox directly. Haha, you guess wrongfully. They are Chinese characters, talking about the hottest Website name Groupon.

I'm sorry, but I won't download obfuscated javascript from an unknown chinese site on my computer and run it with the file:/ protocol.
Far too dangerous. Even to read a prose about an insignificant site.
If it crash your computer, go to about:crashes and post a few of the links here so that we can take a *safe* look at it.

Javascript cannot create virus or spyware. Javascript is just a small script of a Web browser. Maybe, you are too anxious.

Javascript may not by itself be the virus or spyware, but it can surely load one from a different site.
