Error code: ssl_error_bad_mac_read

I had this problem a while ago. I also got similar error messages from IE and Chrome - so it wasnt a Firefox/Thunderbird problem. If I clicked enought times the page would eventually load. I tried loads of things to sort the problem including registry cleaners but nothing worked. In the end I found the solution by accident - I was having the problems at home (I usually work at home) but one day when I went into the office - all of a sudden everything worked fine. The problem turned out to be a simple old hub on my desk and when I replaced it with a new one, the problem vanished. Hope this helps.
