@JJournale, bold text and caps-lock is considered yelling on the internet, FYI. Also, this problem happens because other software takes over your Firefox and reprograms it to do things you don't want it to do. Getting rid of that software is crucial as you never know what something uninvited will do. So yelling bad advice is really not appreciated... especially when you've already shared that same advice only minutes before.
I have been getting the bing search page when I open a new tab. After reading some of the fixes suggested here, I opened a tab, got bing, saw that there is a link in the middle of the page "Remove."
I clicked it and a dialog box opened and allowed me to turn off the bing search in new tab feature. Seems to have worked. Am I missing something?
I tried what you wrote out shaded but though i find Bing in the search and it lists 2 items, there isn't any option to delete. How did you manage to get a delete option?

Problem: Firefox was opening new tab on Babylon search page. It was so annoying. Solution: 1. enter "about:config" in URL 2. click "I'll be careful, I promise" 3. find "browser.newtab.url" 4. right click and reset

5. Restart Firefox and see that Babylon has returned.
