Error 1311 on SUN JAVA J2SE50 Plug-In Install

Some Web Pages I go to with FireFox yield a message indicating I need the SUN JAVA Plug-In for certain features of the Web Page to run. During installation of the SUN JAVA plug-in a pop-up with "Error 1311" from the Installer occurs: "Source File Not Found. c:\Documents and Settings\David\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\PEJ4DJO7\Down.htm" is indicated as the missing source file.

Any ideas how I can remedy this situation and install SUN JAVA J2SE50?
