Check in your Win7 Control panel ... in the Programs and Features.... you'll probably find those apps. in there more than once.

I have no idea for Win. On Mac with FF not running I would simply go to the Internet Plugin Directory and delete them.

So i typed about:config in the address bar above. Then i typed JIT in the filter bar, and double clicked on javascript.options.jitprofiling.chrome and javascript.options.jitprofiling.content.

They are bold now and the value for both of them is "false"

Now toggle the values of the remaining 5 JIT entries there.

I don't know how. I only have two options, disable or more information.

Log in as Administrator.

Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.290.11 6.0.290.11
Close all browsers.
Uninstall Java 6 Update 29 and the plugin should go with it.

Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.300.12 6.0.300.12
Search for npdeployJava1.dll and rename all found to npdeployJava1.dll.bku. As an example, the search found a copy in 2 different folders. Firefox will find them also, but not after they are renamed. They could simply be deleted, but I'd rather have the backup.

Java still runs fine after these files are renamed.

I don't have Update 29. I only have Update 30. I renamed those files and the problem isn't fixed. However I tried logging into a website and the thing popped up but when I moved my mouse to click Remember password, it disappeared. So there is something that makes it disappear. I can't figure out what could make it do that.

I would like to thank everyone who tried helping me. You guys are awesome.

Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.290.11 6.0.290.11 is from JRE 6 U29, so it must be a left-over.

I had the same problem, and hardware acceleration was the culprit.

Check if a key icon appears on the location bar after you've logged in somewhere. If it does, it means that Firefox recognized that you've entered a password. You should be able to click on the key icon and the "Remember password?" popup should appear.

If nothing happens when clicking on the key icon, then you should try disabling hardware acceleration: (Options->Advanced->General->Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration"). On my system, the popup showed without problems after that change.

PS: I have a Laptop with the Nvidia Optimus graphics solution, I suspect this to be part of the problem.
