Changing background color in all-in-one sidebar ...

Post by sangwuine »

All-in-one sidebar appears to have a new update/version. I haven't installed it yet but despite that, the background color of my sidebar has now changed to a horrible peach color. How do I change it back to its original blue color?

Cheers.

Ah, so All-in-one sidebar 0.7.15 now incorporates prescience (second sight) ? Amazing :D

Perhaps you are using a theme or other add-on which changed the colour?

Have a look at this CSS on the AIOS support forum (choose your own 'background-color'):

All-in-One Sidebar :: View topic - sidebar background color changed to blueish in 0.7.14
http://firefox.exxile.net/forum/viewtop ... 216#p37216

That's part of this thread:

All-in-One Sidebar :: View topic - sidebar background color changed to blueish in 0.7.14

In the following forums which provide helpful support on AIOS related matters:

I'm so grateful that you added a definition of prescience ... not remotely patronising :D

So Firefox automatically installed the new version for me. How wonderful. Now I have to try and fix the mess it's made.

Have a look at this CSS on the AIOS support forum (choose your own 'background-color'):

And with my limited tech skills ... should be simplicity itself ](*,)

Perhaps you are using a theme or other add-on which changed the colour?

I'm using the same theme as always. There's never been a conflict with previous versions of AIOS.

Thanks for the links ... much appreciated.

Note that eXXile included a link to documentation about the 'userChrome.css' file. However, if you find that difficult/tedious to follow, just post your problem as a new topic in his 'Bugs and Questions' forum and you should get a quick answer.

Don't forget to include information about the theme and/or persona which you are using.

This seems like a case where eXXile is likely to understand the cause and see the most appropriate fix much more quickly than someone less familiar with AIOS innards.

One of the major changes in AIOS 0.7.15 relates to themes and that may be why the previously successful interworking no longer applies.
