Originally, I was on FF12 when the Flash 11.3 "upgrade" came through. After installing, I couldn't use Youtube any more.
Upgrading to FF13 didn't help.
With FF13, I added the "ProtectedMode = 0" to the cfg file and that worked.
But, I don't like running without that security, so I uninstalled Flash 11.3 and rolled back to 11.2 and took out the ProtectedMode line.
Everything works fine now (FF13 and Flash 11.2), and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Now, if everyone can get talking to each other to fix this, that would be great...
You do realize that Flash 11.2 doesn't have the protected mode at all. Besides, Flash 11.3 has other security problems fixed over Flash 11.2. How's your warm and fuzzy feeling now?
Yeah Flash 11.3 has security problems fixed over Flash 11.2. but so what if you can't see flash content with 11.3 then it's not really protecting you against anything right

Of course, it is protecting you. If it can't show, it can't exploit you.
For most people, turning off protected mode in the new Flash 11.3 allows it to work with Firefox 13. That does stop the new Flash sandbox from working so you lose some protection, but even then it is still far safer than Flash 11.2.

they released something that is not ready yet, something needs fixing either FF13 or Flash 11.3
it's very disappointing that Chrome and IE and Opera don't have this problem with the latest Flash update. but still I'm holding on strong and staying a Firefox fan.
My brother has been showing me stuttering YouTube audio and video since updating to Flash 11.3 on his Firefox browser, which is why I'm here (I'm assuming that is close to what's being discussed here). I mostly use Opera but also use Firefox BTW. In Opera I noticed some stuttering, but not to the extent seen in FF. Both computers are running XP SP3.
There's a whole bunch of suggested fixes here and in some other Topics in the Support section. Have you tried any of them and/or reviewed the other Topics?
As you can see she's (The CAT) always alert and on the prowl for Meoware !!

Yes I have looked at many other topics and Adobe forums.
I have temporarily fixed the problems I was having on Opera with Flash (stuttering AV playback in YouTube when scrolling or mousing over comments) and possibly it may do the same on Firefox; I will try a bit later.
Despite the security fixes of Flash 11.3 I uninstalled the non-IE plugin and reinstalled Flash 11.2. Seems fine now.
I have Fx 7.0.1 and i still get issues with the Adobe Flashplayer update 11_3_300_257 so i am guessing it is a Flashplayer problem. Cannot find the previous version so i downloaded 10.3 flashplayer. Anything is better than not using flashplayer for streaming video content.
I have read most of the Adobe and these forums and nothing works. Even on Facebook in the Adobe page users are really angry.

Using FF12, updated Flash after doing random plugin check. Saw security alert dutifully upgraded Flash. Crashes / blank pages started appearing. Used Chrome to find out fix.
Adobe's Safe Mode, then extension by extension suggestion would be unbearable. Disabled security mode for upgrade required by security shortcomings. Really makes me wonder if what I perceive to be FF advantages are worth it. Chrome, which I haven't used in months, handled things well, without requiring me to do the plugin u.g. manually. How many more times will it take?
