FF13 Scrolling breaks/chops up embedded videos
I'm having an issue that started when I updated to FF13. When I scroll a page past (up or down) an embedded video (like youtube) the embedded video becomes chopped up and messes with the visual look of the site I am viewing.
If I scrolling up and down a lot, I can actually get it to visually duplicate the site. It's quite weird. Below is a screenshot showing before scrolling past the embedded youtube video on the left, and then after on the right.
My video drivers have been fully updates since the issue and did not fix the problem.
I have tried FF in safemode and that did not fix the problem.
All of my add ons and plugins are fully up-to-date. Plugins I use are adblock and noscript (both disabled during the test and site allowed).
Anyone know what might be causing the issue since upgrading to FF13?

What's your Flash plugin version? 11.3?
Because 11.3 is buggy with FF13.

I have the latest version of flash: 11.3.300.257
Could that be the cause?

Sure could be, Flash is broken in Win7 for Firefox. Here is Adobes work around until they fix it right. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0
But you should also try Disabling Hardware Accelleration as well. Go to Tools > Options > Advanced > General and uncheck Use Hardware Accelleration....... then restart Firefox

Buggy with various Firefox versions in general (on Windows).

Hmm, well I disabled hardware acceleration and it did not fix my issue.
I went to the adobe forums and none of those problems seem to apply to me.
- I don't have realplayer
- FF isn't crashing
Is there any way I can find a link to FF 12?

Did you restart FF after disabling HWA? Because you need to do it.

This is a Firefox issue, not a Flash one. Happens in Linux too, with Flash version 11.2.

Yes, I restarted after disabling HWA.
I tried a new FF profile, no change.
Safe mode, no change.
Smooth scrolling on or off, no change.
Updated flash to the latest version, no change.
The problem remains: Scrolling a page with embedded video elements (that are not playing) chops them up, breaks them into pieces, and duplicates or disrupts the look of the site in the area they're embedded.

Could you test with Flash 11.2 please?
Uninstall Flash versions with the Uninstaller: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flas ... _64bit.exe
Then install Flash 11.2: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/fl ... _32bit.exe (it's the 32-bit version because FF is 32-bit app)
(disable autoupdate after the install, the Flash setup will ask you)

Re: FF13 Scrolling breaks/chops up embedded videos
Well, that worked. Thank you very much.
Newer version of flash must be the culprit because FF13 and that older version of flash are now problem-free.
How long should I wait before updating flash? I'm not keen on staying on older versions due to vulnerabilities.

Have this issue as well. Bummer because on the last flash version pausing and starting videos would make them skip forward a couple of seconds. I just want one good flash release.

I downgraded to Flash 11.2 too, because the user experience with Flash 11.3 was too bad: crashes, lag, display artefacts on games/videos, long loading etc...
In my case, I'll wait for new 11.3.x version.
