Your firefox profile cannot be loaded
I keep getting this error when I load firefox. Everywhere I look, the help says I need to change my profile through the profile menu, but the problem is that I cannot open firefox to get to the profile menu. I've installed/uninstalled quite a few times. I went into the hidden files to see if I could find a problem there and deleted the profile from that spot as well.
I have windows vista 32

Re: Your firefox profile cannot be loaded
Ok, I deleted the folder. When I went to open firefox, it asked me to create a profile. When I created a new profile, it says the profile couldn't be created because the file isn't writable. NS Error failure. When I hit ok, it shows that there is a profile there and so I click start firefox. I hjave the same issue still though.

Re: Your firefox profile cannot be loaded
copy a portion of the error message, exactly
put it in Google, with "quotation marks"
good luck

Re: Your firefox profile cannot be loaded
I got a little further. I was looking threw the mozillazine file and saw a note to delete the parent.lock file, so I did. I was able to open up firefox with a browser. On closing it and reopening it, it says it's in use and cannot be open. There is not an instance of firefox running in the background. When I open up firefox again, I get this message
Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features.
It then opens firefox with four tabs. I went to mail.yahoo.com to see what happens and I get a crash report screen as firefox closes. It won't let me open firefox again as it says it's running in the background.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Could_not_ini ... _component
I tried this to no avail
It could be I dont have permission in the appdata and when I try to change permission, it does not allow me to change access

Re: Your firefox profile cannot be loaded
Looks like that last trick I did worked with the permission!
