FireFox won't open a second window

Post by sonicJMC@techie.com »

Since upgrading to the newest version, I can only have one FireFox window open. If I click the button to open a window, use the menu to open a window, or use the desktop or start menu icopns to open a new window, nothing happens. If I close FireFox, I have to end task "firefox.exe" in order to use FireFox again. This is quite frustrating.

You can only have 1 Instance of Firefox showing in the TaskManager, or at least thats the design intent, no matter how many windows you open.

However, if you have a hung process, which it sounds like you do, then you won't be able to open another window.

Open your task manager and make sure to KILL all instances of firefox.exe in the Process tab.

You should not be able to open more than one window.

It's also identical to dozens of other, older threads in this same forum. Try the Search link. Here, I'll do it for you: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=252836.
