Yeah ... same problem here.
But I don't want to reset Firefox completely. There must be some other solution.

I restored an image backup of the system partition, but the profile resides on a separate HDD. After the restore, the page http://websearch.searchguru.info/?r=201 ... reloaded=1 was still opened when opening a new tab. So ... the source is inside the profile.

Any idea how to get rid of it.

Many thanks,

Man ... this looks like I would have to turn my computer completely upside down.

I only noticed websearch presence while using FF. A second look revealed that I had 3 Addons which were not there before. I removed all 3 and FF looked (!?) clear to me again.

I be sure that the system was also clear, I restored an image which I created some 3 days before.

I believe this should be enough. What do you think?

It's hard to say... do you remember what those extensions were... maybe knowing about them "here" would help with that answer...and, where they came from.
