Flip the browser! Here's what I would love to be able to do

Post by merry widow »

This may require a major upgrade to a future Firefox release  but here it goes anyway . . .

What I'd like to have is User control over my entire Firefox viewport (window): I'd like to flip the layout, or if that's too ambitious, at a minimum have the option to move the URL bar (or "Address Bar" or "Navigation Bar") to the BOTTOM of my viewport.

To be perfectly frank, I'd like to have exactly one row at the top — my main FF menu — and the ability to move everything else to the BOTTOM of the screen where it is less of a distraction to my reading: bookmarks, icons, custom toolbars, customized search toolbars, etc.

Do you think I have any hope of seeing this layout control? Thanks guys.

How about not using bold type? We don't need to be shouted at

How about just using F11 for full-screen mode?

Install an extension like CTR that restores the "addons bar" and you can just manually move everything down there.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.
