WinXP Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4 Copy Paste Problem

Post by vinnie82 »

Hey Guys,

Great forum - Even better browser....

But I'm still having problems with copying and pasting text. I know there is a bug report for this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it by searching "copy paste problem".

It happens often when I have multiple tabs open.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to how to get around it?

I'm running

WinXP SP1 ver 5.1
Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4

Extensions
Mouse Gestures 1.0

Thanks for your time!

What exactly? I currently have 9 tabs open and can cut and paste with no issues except I am working with SP2. Are you trying to copy with the mouse or keyboard?

Both, the keyboard shortcuts don't seem to work, and when I right click the Copy and paste items are disabled. This occurs both in textboxes and rendered pages....

Anybody experience the same thing?

Yes, others have this problem, in fact, a bug has been filed: Bug 220900 - Focus breaks, cut/copy/paste and other focus-dependent tasks broken

According to the bug I mentioned above, this is fixed in Firefox 2.0.0.1.
