I've recently encountered a problem with Firefox, where certain videos, such as those in the embedded tumblr video player, and vines refuse to load or play on Firefox, I tested them with chrome, and they work there. I updated Flash, restarted my comp; but nothing seems to work. Help?

Java is NOT Javascript. Check about:config (enter in address bar) Look for pref: javascript.enabled Make sure its set to True

i have cookies enabled, and my exceptions are empty, so it would be safe to assume "yes"

See what happens in FF safe-mode. On the menu bar, click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.... Firefox will start up with the Firefox Safe Mode dialog. Click continue in Safe Mode and don't check any items. FYI - What safe-mode does and doesn't do- The status of plug-ins is not affected.
- Custom preferences are not affected.
- All extensions are disabled.
- The default theme is used, without a persona.
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored.
- The default toolbar layout is used.
- Hardware acceleration is disabled.
- JIT JavaScript compiler is disabled.
