I really love Firefox web browser but from last few days it has become slow and hangs frequently. What is the cause? Please help me as Firefox is my favorite browser on Windows 7.
I am already made some tweaks listed in this posthttp://www.ecloudbuzz.com/how-to-make-firefox-run-faster-surefire-tips/. But still the Firefox is slow.

Re: Firefox Slow and Hangs
Many of the tweaks recommended on sites like that, such as changing pipelining settings, actually cause more harm than good.
What version of Firefox are you running? Find out using menu path Help->About Firefox. Do NOT click on the "Check for updates" button.
Did Firefox recently update to the version you are currently running?
What security software are you running on that computer?

I am using Firefox 36.0.1 on Windows 7 32-Bit with Malwarebytes free version installed. Also two addons Adblock plus and LastPass are also installed.

So you do NOT have Windows firewall or any other firewall running?
Is Malwarebytes set to run full time or only "on demand"?

Do you by chance have Trusteer installed ? Some banking systems are forcing users to use this software for login security. Trusteer is working on 'fix' from what we have been told, might check and see if there is an update yet if you are indeed using Trusteer. If you don't have have it, then nevermind.

Re: Firefox Slow and Hangs
Did this problem begin after the Tuesday Microsoft patches? I have had trouble with Mozilla browsers freezing under certain circumstances after installing patch kb3033929. Uninstalling the patch resolved the problem.
To reproduce the freeze:
Reboot computer
Clear cache
Visit twitter.com
Firefox, Seamonkey, and Cyberfox all froze for 30-40 seconds, locking up the keyboard and causing the cursor to disappear. Similar freezes occurred randomly when visiting other SSL sites, but I could not reproduce them reliably. I had the same problem with the October 2014 patch for the same issue (SHA-2 code signing).

Firefox is hanging, becoming slow and even crashing since 36.0.1 was installed. I'm on a Mac so it can't be anything Windows has done.

You're on a Mac but are you running any security software on that system?
Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?
