If I am typing a message to a seller on Ebay and I hit the backspace key, instead of erasing the previous letter
and moving the cursor to the left, it returns me to the previous page and destroys everything that I had
just typed in.
How do I prevent this?
Thanks

Re: disturbing backspace key function
Moving to Firefox Support.
Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

If a better solution isn't found, you can disable the backspace back/forward function by changing
browser.backspace_action to 2 in about:config.

// 3004: disable backspace
