Suggestion - do not "restart" paused videos on crash recover

Post by GlassDeviant »

When I have several tabs or windows open and Firefox crashes, which it still does much too often, the crash dialog offers to restart with all of them open. Unfortunately, when it does this, every single paused video starts playing at once. This is not a good thing. If it is at all possible, please make them reopen still paused, or stopped even if I have to restart them at the beginning.

By default (currently), when restoring sessions, FF "Only restore tabs when I need them" (rather then all at once, or so many at a time).
AFAIK, that should also apply to a restored crash session.
So if the focused window/tab happened to include a video, only that video would play.
No other would, until you actually loaded the tab in question.

(Now where to find that option in FF, don't know, but it is there.)
Fire 750, bring back 250.

To disable all the tabs opening & playing videos etc..
I think it's Tools > Options > Tabs.
"Don't load tabs until selected."

&...."We" cannot change Firefox' options.
We are just a user-to-user help site.

Moving to Firefox Support..
