The check 'box' I referred to is a Redit setting and is found under the 'Preferences' menu as seen on the Redit page http://www.redit.com in the upper right corner.

Ok. No it's not checked. I can't imagine why it would be checked in the new profile either.
EDIT- Oh I see now. Checking it makes links open in a new tab with TMP! This is great, thanks!

I think that you are confused. The check 'box' in the Reddit Preference settings, only affects Reddit. Clicked links, in Reddit, will open in a new window (tab) if that box is checked. TMP has nothing to do with that. I don't have TMP installed,f or example, and that check 'box' works for me.

In Firefox I have:

Options > General > Tab section > 'Open new windows in a new tab instead'

checked and that, for me, works everywhere else.
