You should see something similar to this....

# Mozilla User Preferences
/* Do not edit this file.
*
* If you make changes to this file while the application is running,
* the changes will be overwritten when the application exits.
*
* To make a manual change to preferences, you can visit the URL about:config
*/

user_pref("Datamngr.Updater.Enabled", "true");
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
user_pref("browser.download.dir", "C:\\Users\\YOURNAMEHERE\\Downloads");
user_pref("browser.download.folderList", 2);
user_pref("browser.download.lastDir", "C:\\Users\\YOURNAMEHERE\\Documents\\NAME OF FOLDER");

Yours, of course, will have your name added to the pref.

That's great Roz.
Happy to assist. :)

If you do not use or need JAVA, then just un-install it, as you would with any normal program.
Afterwards, go here to check...

Click the TEST button & you'll get a "Java is not enabled in this browser." type of response.
