Sad story, I was so excited when I changed from Chrome to Firefox that I spent 2 days researching exactly what I needed not thinking that all of the addons would be enabled by default or many of them. I restarted in safe mode, which is fine, but I want to be able to restart Firefox without everything enabled and turn them on as I need. Is there a way to do this by chance?

Addon Manager > Plugins - Never Activate....then you activate each as required.
