Pages not loading automatically

I noticed after upgrading to 49.0.1 whenever I load a new tab or when launching Firefox it will sit there doing nothing but loading the page untill I hit the X to stop it then hit refresh then the page opens. Has anyone had this problem and if so do you know how to fix it?

Clear the browser cache (use menu path Tools->Options->Advanced->Network tab->click on "Clear Now" button.)

Delete any cookies relating to the site(s) involved (Tools->Options->Privacy->Firefox will "Use custom settings for History"->Show Cookies button).
