download time difference

Post by CTCowboy »

Please note the difference between the download time in the download button and the time in the download window.

Moving to Firefox Support.

What extension are you using to display those download values?

Hi,
That's the file's extension.
Dan asked for the extension, (some refer to them as Addons, which really is wrong), that you use to show the downloads progress.

... in Firefox. That's not a standard function of the browser so I was asking add-on/extension you are using to make it do that.

I always thought it was a function of Firefox.

Well, you have multiple extension there to perform the same function, and that's not a good idea as it can lead to conflicts between the extensions.

You might want to see which, if any, you don't actually need:
Download Manager
Flash VideoDownloader
Video DownloadHelper

Check the descriptions and reviews of each on AMO and then disable any that seem redundant to your needs.

What is AMO?

Addons.mozilla.org

I would suspect in looking at your image that the 'Walnut ?' theme is perhaps causing a slight delay in the two reading for download time remaining perhaps.

I see only perhaps 1 sec difference, but that is likely due to my eyes being that slow in looking at the two different locations.

AMO is Addons.Mozilla.org where "official" extensions are available.

Have you done this yet?
May I suggest that you remove that Download Manager extension, then re-start Firefox & check?
&...The exact name of the extension would help.
There's no actual Download Manager listed on the AMO site.
There are derivatives though.

I have removed the Download Manager because I don't ever remember using it.

EDIT: Removing Download Manager did not correct the problem.
