adobe flash 23.0.0.207 crashing moments after start

I did not start with this problem until 12/4 well after 11/3 update. Have tried disabling protected mode with no change. Removed, reinstalled. Still no joy. Any ideas?

Did you try changing Flash protected mode and / or going to Windows control panel and removing the stored data in the Flash player advanced settings

I'll try to follow up although have attempted suggestions prior as noted. When Filrefox upgraded to 50.02 Flash began crashing.

One of the steps that I take with updates to Flash is the following...
Since using the info in these links I've had no problems. Note step 3 in the 1st doc. Also, I get my Flash from the lower links... cleaner to work with.

You can get Flash without the Stub installer here....

Or.... get them from their FTP site...1st one for Firefox... 2nd for IE.

Think I figured this one out. I had been running CCleaner for some time. Lets say a year prior to FireFox 50.0.2 upgrade. During this time I had a feature enabled to monitor browser activity and an automatic cleanup after browser closure. I just had a thought to disable that activity and so far the crashes have stopped. I really like to have my internet tracks, as inert as they are. Cleaned up after internet use. That will have to be a manual operation should stability maintain. Fingers crossed. I might add that CCleaner as much as I like it, has interfered with Mozilla FireFox in the past during the Norton ID Safe toolbar fiasco.

CCleaner is known to make a mess of Firefox when used with its default settings, especially the Cleanup features. But I guess you know that from experiance now .... Glad you got things fixed

if you are using the 64-bit version of firefox, i have heard that it has problems with flash player while the 32-bit version doesn't..

i agree with dfoulkes.. i always do a "clean install" of "flash player" and i have never had any problems with it.. in most cases, doing a clean install of "flash player" will resolve whatever problems people are having with it..
